Nordstrom Launches Natural Beauty

You know times are changing when you walk into your local Nordstrom and, gasp… see some of your all-time favorite green beauty brands, right there, available to test out and buy! Talk about major, select Nordstrom retail locations are now fully stocked with some of the latest and greatest green beauty has to offer and I could not be more excited about this launch especially knowing that Nordstrom is one of the leading retailers! As you all know, one of the most frustrating parts about converting over to clean beauty is the fact that most products must be purchased online which can be a deal breaker for those that prefer sampling before they commit. Because of the increase in customer’s asking for cleaner beauty items in Nordstrom, they decided to make that dream into a reality, making it much more convenient for shoppers to grab their faves right there in store, hassle-free.

Considering I have been shopping at Nordstrom since I was born, thanks Mom, and also held a part-time job there in college, I can honestly say this is so amazing to see one of my favorite retailers hop on board a train I am oh-so-passionate about. To give you a better idea of how Nordstrom does green beauty, I figured I would walk you through my shopping experience! Besides picking up some old faves, I also picked out a few brand-new items to try which could be dangerous for my credit card to have so many green goodies, all in one place.

The Nordstrom Natural Beauty Experience

To give you all a closer look, I headed down to my local Nordstrom at Fashion Valley mall, where I met with Cindy, the Nordstrom Regional Beauty Director who was just as excited as I was for this addition! Upon meeting, Cindy gave me the rundown on why Nordstrom picked up this new selection, mentioning that she really has seen a shift and change in the consumer’s demand for clean beauty that Nordstrom wanted to fulfill. This alone was so awesome to hear. Because of you all, the industry standards are rising.

So, what are some of the brands you can find in select Nordstrom Natural Beauty outposts!? Well, let’s start with my faves and those that are Organic Bunny approved… Tata Harper, Odacite, Herbivore, Plume + even Kypris can be found at the Scottsdale location, I mean… how awesome is that? Other brands found in the Natural Beauty section? Youth to the People, Lano, Origins, Buddy Scrub + more! While the ingredients vary from brand to brand, it’s so amazing that there are at least plenty of options to accommodate customers of all types. Check out which I picked out to try!

Herbivore Jasmine Glowing Hydration Body Oil- $44

So, wondering what items made it home with me? Check out my new finds! First, I knew I wanted to try more of the Herbivore line as I really have yet to try the items fully. I have heard great things about the brand so I decided to bring home the Jasmine Glowing Hydration Body Oil, mostly because I am obsessed with Jasmine! I must say, this smells divine and the best part is, it’s made with only essential oils, no fragrance what so ever. This body oil also contains Camellia Flower Oil which is what allows this it to apply very lightly and never too heavy or greasy. This product works best when applied right after the shower while skin is still moist. After just one application, your skin will feel baby soft with a scent straight from the botanical heavens.

Herbivore Botanicals Brighten Pineapple Enzyme + Gemstone Mask- $48

I don’t know about you, but I am obsessed with brightening facial masks so I just had to swoop this Vegan Pineapple Enzyme + Gemstone Mask by Herbivore Botanicals on up. Made with Brazilian White Tourmaline to naturally brighten and illuminate, and pineapple and papaya enzymes to gently resurface and exfoliate, after one use of this magical mask, my skin did appear refreshed and with a new lovely glow. I loved the slight tingle of this mask, it lets you know its magical powers hard at work. If you do try this mask out, be sure to let it dry entirely unless you have sensitive skin, start off with it on for about 5 minutes. This can be used 2-3 times per week!

Tata Harper Hydrating Floral Essense Spray Toner- $89

Designed to serve as a light moisturizing toner spray that deeply hydrates the skin, this Tata Harper Hydrating Floral Essence is a long time fave of mine, mostly because of the aromatic and floral scent! Besides just giving my skin that super dewy, healthy and hydrated appearance, it also contains hyaluronic acid to actively plump the skin. I love spritzing this on my face any time I am feeling dry or even after applying my makeup, this serves as the perfect makeup setting spray! Odacite Rose + Neroli Hydra-Vitalizing Treatment Mist- $39

Because I am a sucker for anything rose, and because I have heard great things about the Odacite line within the green community, I knew I was ready to give this Rose + Neroli Hydra-Vitalizing Treatment Mist a try! Formulated to quickly reduce the appearance of acne and breakouts, I figured this could come in handy often. Made with skin-soothing ingredients like Organic Aloe Vera, Rose Water, Aspen Bark + more, simply mist this on your freshly cleansed skin in replacement of your lotion or as a toner before it! Final Thoughts-

Overall, I could not be more excited to see these items in my local Nordstrom. Not only does it prove that green beauty is here to stay, but it also proves that we can continue to vote with our dollar to watch it grow even more. Nordstrom is clearly down to play this green beauty game, so let’s all go visit our local stores to show them how happy we are to see this shift!
