My Favorite Organic Drinks Food by theorganicbunny on April 16, 2015April 16, 2015 When I am not sipping on water I love to have my fridge full of healthy, organic juices and teas, so I figured, why not share some of my favorite go-to beverages? I find that Jimbo’s or Whole Food has the best drink selections, but I can find a few of these at Sprout’s or smaller markets if I’m lucky. Guayaki Yerba Mate Teas- Yerba Mate has the strength of coffee, the health benefits of tea and the euphoria of chocolate, all in one delicious beverage. Of the six commonly used stimulants in the world: coffee, tea, kola nut, cocoa and guarana, yerba mate triumphs as the most balanced, delivering both energy and nutrition. Yerba mate comes from the naturally caffeinated and nourishing leaves of the celebrated South American rainforest Holly Tree, Ilex paraguariensis. For centuries, South America’s Aché Guayakà tribe has sipped yerba mate from a traditional mate gourd for its rejuvenating effects. I am pretty much addicted to their iced teas, I love drinking these when I need a boost of energy before the gym or a big pile of work that needs extra focus. Harmless Harvest Coconut Water- Ever since The Food Babe, named Harmless Harvest as one of the best brands of coconut water to buy, I have been a huge fan! I love knowing that I am consuming a nutrient rich, quality product and Harmless Harvest offers exactly that. Many are not fans of the coconut water taste, however, I enjoy it, mostly because I know how nutritious it is for me. Quality coconut water is known to: Lower high blood pressure. Hydrate and replenish electrolytes. Fight against free radicals which can prevent cancer. Offer a unique blend of Vitamin B, Vitamin C, micronutrients, and phytohormones that are exceptionally beneficial to your health. When buying coconut water you will want to make sure you get a good brand, like Harmless Harvest, that isn’t overly processed and concentrated. You also want to make sure it is made from young, nutrient packed coconuts, versus older ones who have lost their nutrient value over time. Double check to make sure no added sugars or flavors exist also, you want as pure and organic as possible here to get the full benefits of coconut water. To read more on how to pick the best coconut water, you can read Food Babe’s article here. PS- this 100% raw coconut water with Cacao? Heaven. Suja Juices- We all know about Suja by now so there is not much to say other than I love their awesome organic juices! I love using their juices to make smoothies, chia seed puddings and, of course, drink straight out of the bottle. When it comes to juices you always want to buy a 100% organic, cold pressed juice, which is why I like this brand the best, yummy, quality juice! Suja also has great cleanse packages if you want to give yourself a healthy reboot. My favorite is the Original Fresh Start, I love the orange one! So there you have it, my three favorite drinks to sip on! Now let me know what some of your favorite organic drinks are?
